Daniel and the Cashier

Daniel, Sam and I went to Target this afternoon for them to spend some of their hard earned money. Daniel got some Playmobile knights and insisted on buying a $10 Littlest Pet Shop set for Sara, just because he knew she would love it.

He paid for his items with a twenty and two ones. The cashier took the money and then held out the twenty for Daniel to see and asked him if he knew who the man on the front was. Daniel thought hard and then turned to the man and said, "Joseph Smith?" The fellow, clearly not a member of our church, was surprised and confused with his answer at first. Then he turned to Daniel and said, "Well, I guess they were around the same time period." Then he held out the one and asked Daniel who that was. Daniel proudly said, "George Washington."

I love five year olds! They are hilarious and so darn sweet!

Birthday #34

SO . . . 34 . . . I told Rich that 34 was his last good year before he was an old man. He is now 37 and I guess I am beginning my last good year. Actually, it is so not a big deal. It is strange how you can feel 20ish for so many years. I don't plan to ever feel old.

My sweetheart has taken today and tomorrow off for my birthday. There is never anything I love more than spending time with him. While today has not been the most romantic or perfect day out together (Susanna is sick and really whiny and super clingy) we have had a fun day driving around town, having lunch at Babbo's and visiting Shane Co. to have my wedding ring cleaned and inspected. I LOVE going there and looking at all the sparkles! Richard loves how giddy and lovey I get around diamonds. We don't buy, just look, but something about trying on such pretty things makes me feel all sparkly inside.

Thank you Sweetie for such a great day! I look forward to tomorrow with you too.
