East Valley Millennial Choirs and Orchestra Concerts

Truly, try as I might, words do not adequately describe these concerts.  They are absolutely magnificent!  This concert was titled Amazing Grace.  The power and beauty of the music fills your heart and soul.  It moves to tears and to stand in applause.  It testifies of the Savior of mankind and the love of God.  What a blessing for our family to be a part of this great organization!  I am eager for our concert this summer in DC and to get this recorded there as well.  It won't be the same as being surrounded in a concert hall, but having it available in our home is still pretty awesome!

We finally got Bishop and Sis Smith to come and they loved it!

Dandi got to come with Gram to that concert as well.  It was her first time.  She said she cried through every song of the first half and much of the second.  It is so beautiful!

These are to of Tim's favorite gals, Rebekah and Rachel Smith.  They are friends of ours from Surprise and they have been in choir with us this past year.  It's a long drive from Surprise to Gilbert every Thursday evening, but so worth it!

The 3rd concert we had lots of friends and family attending, Sam and his friend Shayla, Gram and Papa, Grandpa Alger, our neighbors Gisella and Jim with their friend Martha and one of Sara's best friends Lilly.

Little brother Daniel is growing fast.  I can't wait to see how much more he grows in the next couple of years.  Who will be taller then???

Everyone asks if Tim, Andrew and Freddy are triplets.  They really are about the same height, I think Andrew is standing on something.

Susanna's 8th Birthday Party

Susanna chose a Hawaiian theme for her party.  The dollar store was packed with fun Hawaiian decor so it was pretty cheap too. Sara was the greeter and presented the girls with leis and a flower for their hair as the came in.

We had a great group of girls, all super sweet.  It was fun to hear all the giggling and squeals of delight.

There is nothing quite like having a goofy and loving big brother to help you eat your ice cream.  She loved every second of his silliness with her.

I really don't love throwing parties, it just isn't my thing, but this one went smoothly and the girls all seemed happy.  So I guess it was a success.  Hooray!

Into The Woods Jr. at Legacy Traditional School in Surprise

We had the great fortune to have our kiddos in the school musical.  They auditioned well and worked hard and put on a great show.  I gave about 3 months of my life over to costuming, we ate a lot of beans and pasta, but it all came together well and we are still alive.

Freddy was the Baker, which is the lead male role.

Daniel was Jack, a main supporting role.

Laney was a chorus member, aka scary tree.

Andrew was the master of the music and sound board.

It was a wonderful experience and they grew tons in confidence and performance abilities.  We had a fabulous director/teacher leading them, Marie Gouba.  It was a tough show and dress rehearsal was a bit scary, but it all pulled together for great performances. I'm a proud Mama!

The prince and the stewardess arguing about the golden slipper that the Baker's wife is trying to get from them to have a baby.  It makes sense if you see the play or movie.

Milky White brought back to life, being fed the red cape, the golden slipper and the yellow hair from Rapunzel to make her milk magical to turn the witch young again and then she will remove her curse on the  Baker so he and his wife can have a baby. Rapunzel's hair doesn't work so they use the hair from and ear of corn and it works.

Susanna wanted so badly to be in the show, but you had to be in at least 4th grade. She came to rehearsals and helped with costumes.  She was a good sport.
