KenaDee had a rough spring break. Her kitty, Gilly, was not well and passed away. She need some cheering up, so we tried to keep her busy having fun with games and movies and lots of love.
Sam was really excited to see her on Wednesday. He ran up stairs and then came back into the room with a huge excited smile. He then asked KenaDee to guess who he saw at Walmart today. She didn't want to guess so everyone started guessing for her. He said she had to guess or he wouldn't tell her and he was crazy excited about who ever it was that he had seen. She made a few lame guesses and then he told her. It was Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun from her favorite band Twenty-One Pilots! He was getting cookies and told Sam he loves Oreos. Sam was giddy as he was telling us. Then Sam said that he worked for Oreo and they thought that was cool. Sam then went on to tell that his good friend KenaDee is a huge fan and how awesome she is and that she was having a really hard week since her cat died. Then Josh said he loves cats and that he felt bad for her. He turned to Tyler and said they should do something for her, but that they didn't have anything to give her. Then he realized that he had some drumsticks with him. They each wrote a little note on one of the sticks and gave them to Sam to deliver to her. Sam was absolutely thrilled to tell her about it and then give her the drumsticks. I wish I had a video of it. It was the sweetest thing.

On the drumsticks they wrote: "I love cats too KenaDee! - Josh Dun" and
"Love you KenaDee. You're the best and sound really nice! - Tyler Joseph"
OK, so it didn't really happen, but Sam had planned it all to cheer her up. It was so much fun to almost believe it was real and it was so thoughtful and enthusiastically delivered. Bravo Sam!
The Andersons (Christin, KenaDee and Corbjin) took us (me, Andrew, Daniel, Laney and Zanna) to the Phoenix Zoo on Thursday. It was the most glorious weather! It was in the 60's with sunshine here and there, a beautiful breeze and pretty clouds, the perfect day for the Zoo. We split into two groups, the moms with the 2 little ones and then everybody else in the other group. It was wonderful to walk and talk and soak in the gorgeous weather!

They are so cute! Susanna is taller but they are the same age and are good little buddies.

Everyone had a great time, Susanna was worn out by the end and Drew sweetly carried her to the van so she would have to walk such a long way. We are so lucky to have such great friends to play with. Our lives would be very different if they hadn't moved here last summer. We love the Andersons!
Andrew has been wearing his natural curls lately instead of keeping his hair short and combing out the curls. It is super cute on him!
Friday, Papa took us to see the new Beauty and the Beast. It was magical and a lot of fun! We loved it! We have been talking about it everyday since. LeFou and Gaston were incredible! I love when you get stage performers on the big screen doing song and dance. Thank you Papa!!!

It was a sweet experience to share with her. She is growing in to such a lovely young woman. She is driven to do good and to work hard for her dreams. She is kind and loving and always thinking of others. She is an incredible example of faith. I could not be more proud of her.
Afterward, Gram and Papa came over for dinner. It was fun to spend the evening with them talking and looking at pictures of Tim's birthday trip to California this last weekend.
