OOPS!!!

Josh had an accident on the way to school. He hit a rough patch and fell off his bike. He has scraped knees and hands and hit his tooth on the cement. Ouch!

We will be visiting the dentist today. What a great way to get out of a day at school!

Gone Country

Richard and I took the kids and my sister Jessi and her kids to the Beals' during spring break. The weather was gorgeous and the atmosphere and company delightful.

A new friend, moo!

Nothing like climbing a mountain of chopped wood.

Timmy with Grandma Beals mothers day cactus.

Off to the orchards to pick some oranges and grapefruit.

Gwen directing our attention to the next exciting thing.

Brother Beals is about the sweetest man alive. It's no wonder that every kid in the ward loves him. Of course, having candy in his pockets doesn't, hurt either.

So, my battery died before we could get pictures of the kids riding the quads. They LOVED it! Laney was terrified until I got her on one and explained that it was safe, just noisy. She squealed and giggled in delight the rest of the ride. I also didn't get pics of the fire the boys helped build to keep us warm.

Brother Beals topped the night off with candy and popcorn. Thanks so much Brother Beals and Stetson for hosting a wonderful country evening and for all the citrus!

Daniel is FIVE!!!!

Just a glimpse into his magical day.

He informed me that he "changed into five" at preschool.

Chowing on his birthday dinner, crazy boy!

Daniel and his special buddy Nate. Daniel can not let the kids leave for school in the morning until he has hugged Nate goodbye. They have a special bond.

Spaghetti face and candles, mmm, my favorite.

Some birthday lovin'.

Crazy Hair Day

Some how I only got pictures of Sam, Tim and Sara, but Nate, Drew and Josh also had crazy hair. This is one of my kids' favorite school days. They plan for it the whole year.

Our Morning at Oceanside

OK, so Oceanside is an ice rink, not the ocean side, but we still had a great time. Papa was showing of his moves to the grand kids. He is 62 and still skating with the young guys. He certainly holds his own and scored 3 goals and had several assists.

The kids had a blast cheering him on. His team mates and the rival team all lovingly gave him a hard time about it, seeing that we were the only ones watching the game and we were very loud. One of them said, "You must be Mormon", because of all the kids. He had 16 of his 20 grand kids there. Ben, Nan and their kids didn't come, but they have gone several times on their own. They were having fun at the Touch a Truck Day at GCC.

Dandi's 3 year old, Wilson watched most of the game, and Jessi's 6 year old, Lilli and my Sara cheered almost the whole time. It was freezing, of course but tons of fun. We are so proud of you Papa! Go ROCKET!!!

Just too cute!

I Love This Time Of Year!!!!

We planted most of our garden last week. Our garden for this spring has 36 tomato plants, 15 pepper plants, 6 zucchini, 6 yellow crook neck squash, 6 cucumbers, beets, carrots, onions, cilantro, basil, rosemary, onions, asparagus and some flowers.

Our peach trees are starting to bloom as well as our irises.

Gardening and working in the yard this time of year is heavenly!
