Birthdays, Temple Lights and a Wedding Dress!

For Richard and Sam's birthdays, we went out to celebrate with my parents.  We had Thai food and then went to see The Hobbit.  It was a lot of fun and oh so yummy!

Present time for Daddy!

Some cuties!

Decorating the tree

I had to get a picture of someone in front of my pretty red leaves on my crepe myrtles.  Laney was the lucky one.

Sammy opening gifts, that we returned (the jacket sleeves were too long) and then purchased so fun printed T-shirts he had been wanting.

We always look forward to going to the temple lights.  It is about an hour drive, but it is always gorgeous and the nativity displays are amazing!

Sam brought a friend, Sarah.

One night Sara and I were hanging out at Gram and Papa's, I got the idea to call Dandi and see if Sara could try on her wedding dress for fun.  She ok-ed it and so we plunged in to all the lace and beading and had a wonderful girly time being silly and dreamy.

It really is such a gorgeous princess gown.  Sara felt like Cinderella.

Keith and Maxine Alger's 50th Anniversary

We had a beautiful anniversary dinner for my mother and father-in-law at Grant and Joanna's house.  They had everything decorated all fancy and made a delicious dinner.  It was just Richard's siblings and spouses and his parents, minus Mike's wife, Laura, who was out of town and Steve's wife, Natalie, who was with a sick daughter.  Kristine and Aric joined us through Skype since they live in Idaho now.

This was when they first saw the room.  Too bad it's blurry!

We collected photos and memories and made an anniversary book for them.
It was great to see them all huddled around reminiscing.

The whole fam including Kris on the screen.

We had the best carrot cake ever for dessert!  We ended up staying late after everyone left.  We have the hardest time leaving Grant and Joanna, they are just too much fun.  I think we left around 11pm.    It truly was a wonderful evening.

Laney's Dance Recital

Laney had her first Dance Recital.  She did beautifully!

It is always fun to see how long her eyelashes are when she has on mascara.  Stunning eye girly!

Brynna, our sweet friend, gave Laney a rose.  Thanks!  She loved it!
