Summer Fun 2014

Since I spent most of the summer lying on my back, I don't have as many pictures. Here are the highlights.

Laney made a watermelon friend.

Sam was ordained an elder and received the Melchizedek Priesthood.  Both of his grandfathers and grandmothers were able to be there. He has grown up so fast!

Buddies chillin' and watching a movie, Matt and Josh

Steph trying to find a comfortable position to watch the movie.

We had a karaoke night with the Young girls.  It was hysterical!  The girls went all out with their vocals and dance moves.  It was tons of fun!

Daniel took Tori for a twirl during This Is Halloween from Nightmare Before Christmas.

Sara looking cute for church

Laney wanted to make a gift for one of her favorite school teachers, Ms. McClain.  Ms. McClain loves the ocean and beach so she wanted to make her a picture out of shells.

Laney tried lots of different creations before deciding on a this heart with sparkles and pearls.  She took great care in gluing them all in place.  Ms. McClain loved it.

Sara got to go to her first church dance.  Tim and Josh got to show her around.  They looked so cute together!

And VERY silly!

This is a typical Sunday afternoon at our house.  After church they all snuggle up and fall asleep.

Cousin Bob came to visit.  He stayed a night with us while he was in town.  Laney spent over an hour plucking the hairs from his nose and chin.  He was very patient and loving about the whole thing.  He said it didn't hurt and that he didn't have to shave his chin for a long time.

We love every moment with Bob.  He is one of the most lovable guys on the planet! It is always hard to say goodbye.

Josh wanted to learn to upholster this summer.  I helped him learn on a broken down ottoman we had.  He did an awesome job. It turned out great!

One of our neighbors had open heart surgery so the little girls made him a get well banner for his bedroom.  They were super creative with the letters.

Josh and Daniel worked together to build this wooden puzzle.  They had a great time.

The summer flew by even faster than normal.  The kids spent a bunch of time at friends houses too.  We are blessed to have such a wonderful neighborhood with so many great families.  I am grateful to all those who helped to make summer fun while I was out of commission.
