Phoenix Temple Cultural Celebration

I, Richard, is writing this up since I was there with the kids.

We all love participating in the cultural celebration. I think it left a lasting impression, especially on all those who participated.

Sara must have missed the duck lips memo.

David Watkins and his Daughter Brianna

I think Justin is pretending to be getting drunk off of milk or punch, Everyone had a great time together.

The girls skirts were beautiful

The whole Copper Canyon ward.

They all were trying to sit on each other's laps and then they all fell like Domino's

Makaila and Tim

Our ward brought frozen yogurt and cheese. Sara loved it

Nathan Alger, Nathan Tanner and some photo bombers.

Sara and Lilli

This is those from our ward that we could get to come over for a picture in front of the temple facade. The facade was incredible, Steph's cousin, Wendy helped make it. It had lights and at the end it sparkled during the finale.

Here is a video of the whole Celebration. We will remember it forever.

Josh's Eagle Project

Josh chose to co-organize a health and wellness fair for the city of Surprise with  Captain Renee Hamblin from the fire department. He did an incredible job, meeting after meeting, collecting contributions for the drawings, and supplies for the fair.  He owned this project, like a boss.  He asked for very little help leading into the event.  I couldn't have been more proud of his hard work.

The project was on the same day as the Phoenix Temple Cultural Celebration, which made things a little bit difficult since so many people were involved in the Celebration, including his dad and siblings.  He was worried about getting enough volunteers, but his friends from school, friends from church and extended family pulled through for him and he had a great turn out.

The proud mama

Josh had to leave a little early to be at the Cultural Celebration so Ben Buhanan finished up as the leader of the clean up. Josh was so organized that things went very smoothly, even when he left.

Josh is an amazing guy.  He is growing into wonderful adult.

Wacky Wednesday

I don't think too much needs to be said about my wacky kids.  They love any excuse to be silly.

Andrew and Nathan are too cool now to get super silly, so the used frosty blue hairspray for just a touch of wacky.

Quick Trip To Tucson

We got tickets to see Postmodern Jukebox in Tucson.  Richard and I took Josh, Tim, Sara and her friend Lauren to the concert. Gram came with us as well.  The rest of the kids played at Dandi's. I didn't get many pics and the ones I got weren't great.  But it's enough to remember the occasion.
It really was a quick trip.  We drove down, dropped the kids off, went to the concert, picked up the kids and drove home.  We got back about 2 am.

The concert was fabulous and tons of fun.

Thanks Dandi for having the kids over for the evening.
