Uncle Tom

My Uncle Tom passed away in January.  He was one of the most gentle and kind gentlemen I have ever known.  He was quiet, but full of wisdom and had a great sense of humor as well.  I have so many great memories of playing on Aunt Judy and Uncle Tom's farm as a kid.  We will miss him!

They had a beautiful service for him.  The soldiers added such a reverence.  It was perfect.

Morp

Josh was asked by Hannah to go to Morp.  It's prom spelled backwards. The girls ask the guys and it is a casual dance.  She got matching shirts for them and the girls made a nice dinner for the guys.  He had a great time.

More fun with Bob and Linda

While Bob and Linda were back for the funeral, we squeezed in some fun time too.  

We went and watched Papa play hockey at the Coyotes' Arena. It is wonderful to see him fly around on the ice doing something he loves so much.

They came over and spent an evening with us. 

 We had dinner and then played games.  Tony came by later to join in the games.

We  always have a blast together and wish they didn't live SO far away in  Minnesota.

Sister Palma

Our dear friend Barbara Palma passed away after battling cancer. She lived near by us for years and had been much like another grandmother to our family.  She brought us meals when we were sick or had new babies.  She sat with us to help with our little ones in church.  Josh sat with her for years in church because he loved to cuddle up with her.  She was an incredible primary teacher for our older kids and was Sister Friendly to most of the younger ones. She moved away but stayed in touch with  us through the last few years.  She will always be a treasured gift to our family.

She asked our family, before she passed away, to sing at her funeral.  It was the first funeral my kids had been to. I think it was a good experience for them, even though we will miss her.

Susanna Lost Her First Tooth

It finally happened!  Susanna was thrilled.  She is almost 7 and felt like she had been waiting FOREVER.  She is such a cutie!

Belated Christmas With Victor

We were happy to have a belated Christmas with Victor. The kids were excited to see him and to love him and tackle him and be silly together.

  In addition, Victor's mom made a ton of tamales for us.  They were delicious! It was a wonderful weekend.
