Sam's Missionary

Sam and Makenzie have been dating.  This last weekend they had to say a temporary goodbye as she left for her mission in Jacksonville, Florida.  It has been fun to watch these two falling for each other.  They are both amazing young adults.

While Sam is excited for her adventures and growth on her mission and his time to work and build his career, he is also anxiously awaiting her return in 18 months. I am happy for them both!

Andrew Running Cross Country

Andrew is running Cross Country for his high school.  He is a freshman, but can beat some of the varsity kids.  It's difficult because he can't practice with the team most days.  They have practice before school Monday, Wednesday, Friday during his seminary class and then after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but Thursdays he has choir.  So the only time he can practice with the team is on Tuesdays.  The rest of the time he is left to practice on his own.

This race he finished 20th out of about 60 kids.

Gathered with his team.

I am so proud of his hard work and dedication.  Andrew is an amazing young man!

Silly Tim and KenaDee

Everyday at lunch Tim hijacks KenaDee phone and posts on her Instagram. It's usually pretty wacky and entertaining. I love that my kids have such great friends to be silly with! Kenadee is pretty much best friends with Tim, Sara, Freddy and Andrew.  We love having her in our home so much.

Sunday is a special day

Sunday in church, Sara was the chorister in sacrament meeting and Makenzie spoke because she is about to leave for her mission in Jacksonville, Florida and the surrounding areas. I snuck a picture before church started. They both looked so pretty!

After church we went to the Anderson's for lunch to celebrate Makenzie before she leaves. It was delicious and we had a delightful time hanging around chatting for the afternoon. We love their family!

Later that night, Victor came by for a visit. It's been a while since we've seen him so we were all very excited to hug him and hear about what is going on in his life. He always brings such joy to our family!

He got plenty of love from the littles, got to meet Makenzie, and even squeezed in a little wrestling with Andrew before he and Sam fell asleep on the sofas.

It was a wonderful and exhausting day!

MCO Constitution Week Performance

It was an amazing performance! Three of their songs had fireworks choreographed to them. Even though we were outside the sound was awesome! There were thousands in the audience sitting on the lawn so we couldn't see them individually but it didn't matter. I am so grateful my kids get to participate in things like this.

This song, To Be American, reminds me of when Sam, Josh, Tim and Victor were in MCO. I always get teary when the guys come in on their part. It was super fun to have the fireworks!
