President's Day Fun at Anthem Park

We went to Anthem Park for the day with Gavin and Jessi and their families.  Dandi's kids didn't have the day off and everyone else already had plans.  I sent Daniel off with the camera to capture the event. He only got these few pictures before the camera stopped working.  It is working again now, thank goodness! I would be sad to live without my camera.  At least we got a few pictures to remember the day.  It was beautiful weather and wonderful company.  The kids loved running wild with their cousins and we enjoyed relaxing in the shade/sun.

Hipster Kiddos

We have had a lot of good luck with bargains lately.  

I got these at a secondhand store.

We have gotten a ton of cheap hipster glasses lately.  The kids have been having lots of fun wearing them. Here is Sara practicing guitar with some.

We found these cute shirts at another secondhand store. Too much cuteness!

She wanted a couple of ballerina in action pictures too.

I love that my kids enjoy secondhand items.  It is fun and SO much easier on the wallet!

Valentine's Dance

Sara went with a couple of girl friends to their school Valentine's dance.  She bought a new dress for the occasion and looked so darling I had to snap a couple of quick pics.

Here is a blurry picture of them at the Masquerade dance that they caught on a cell phone. They are all super sweet girls and I am glad they are such good friends.

Silly Game Night With Gavin And Cadie

Gavin and Cadie came over one Sunday evening to hang out and play Quelf, a game they got us for Christmas.  It is a crazy game of random things you have to do to get points. One of the things I had to do was take pictures of everyone, like it was a big fashion photo shoot.  They were hoping to get extra points by acting the part.  Sometimes that's how it works and sometimes not. This time only I got extra points for actually taking pictures and not just pretending. I sure caught some beauties!

Youth Volleyball Activity

The kids had a combined young women and young men activity of volleyball at our neighborhood park.  These are just a few pictures of the fun.

Tim's 16th Birthday!

Tim, fabulous Tim.  He is so much fun!  He is our maid and gardener, he is our gymnast and the doting big brother to the girls.  He loves people and cares deeply about his friends and family.  He is a force for good in the world for sure.  He also enjoys having his own style.  The younger boys want to dress like Tim. He takes his church callings very seriously and is quick to help those in need.  He is a great buddy to work with.

For Tim's birthday, since he turned 16, he got to have his first date with ME!  I love this tradition.  My dad took me on my first date out to dinner and then to see Hook in theaters. Wow, I am getting old! 

I did a little birthday shopping earlier in the week with Josh and Tim since their birthdays are only 8 days apart. We took some pictures of his new clothes.

Shopping at Ross and Savers

We saw Big Hero 6.

Dinner after the movie at Pei Wei.  Tim hadn't ever been there.  He loved it!

Then more shopping at Goodwill.  Second hand stores are the best and Tim is a great shopper.

It was a fabulous night out with a fabulous guy!
