Sam Joins the Fun

Also, while Dad was off playing with the kids, Gram, Tim and I went to the Provo airport to pick up Sammy. I'm so glad he got to spend a few days with us all together! It's hard to get everyone's schedules to line up with jobs and such.

I loved seeing the joy in their eyes as they hugged!

Me and my big boys

That evening we went on another beautiful walk around the neighborhood. We just had to soak in as much cool weather as we could before returning to the heat.

We spent many of our evenings playing dominoes with Aunt Marilyn. She's a lot of fun!

Thursday morning we went to Bridal Veil Falls to hike and play. It was great to have Tyson and Grammy with us.

We called Josh back right after they started hiking because a family visiting from San Diego recognized him. He had served in their ward in San Diego. Crazy!

Back to hiking, the boys were so sweet to take care of Sara along the way. I took these pictures with the zoom lens, they were pretty far up the falls, even though they look close.

The twins, Tyson and Daniel hiked the farthest. Luckily, they had the good sense to turn back when it got super steep and required cliff climbing.

Sam and Tim showed off their muscles to us by being human flags. No one is holding their feet, they are that strong.

Then they moved on to hand stands.

It was beautiful and tons of fun!

Shopping and Aspen Grove

Josh's second day  back with us was spent mostly with Mom shopping. He needed some clothes other than dress shirts, slacks, ties and suits. While we shopped, Dad took the rest of the gang to Aspen Grove to play.

Aspen Grove's Cowboy Town is always a favorite.

Welcome Home Elder Alger

We had Josh fly to Salt Lake City instead of home so he could join us on vacation. Gram and Tyson drove up on Monday so they could be with us at the airport to greet Josh. It is so surreal to have your missionary come home. In some ways it feels like forever since you were all together; in other ways it feels like they never left.

There was a bunch of silliness, of course, as we awaited his arrival.

When I first saw Josh, my feelings went from excitement at first glance to wondering why on earth he would buy such awful glasses and how people should always take their mom's with them when they buy such important things.

Then he laughed at us all and said they were Harry Potter glasses that he was wearing as a joke. HA! He is as goofy as ever. I love it!

It felt like heaven to have him back in my arms!

Grammy is so cute with him!

Lots of love and silliness!

Just missing our Sammy! He had to work and was going to join us in Utah soon.

The tie he was wearing is a gift from KenaDee's brother, Elder Mikal Anderson.

Can't get enough love!
