As we drove through Nebraska we stopped to see the birth place of my one of my very best friends, Jennifer Tanner. We ate lunch at Runza's by her recommendation and we were not disappointed.
Her childhood neighborhood was pretty, but it smelled strongly of cows.
We even said hi to her high school.
You can't tell very well in these pictures but shortly after we left town the sky turned a weird brown/green color and the winds started. Then we had horizontal rain and nearly got blown off of the road. I asked the kids if they thought we should pull off the road and they shouted, "No... hurry and get out of this! Go Mom!"
Just shortly after that the skies started to clear and the sun popped out,
By the time we got to our hotel in Cheyenne there was a rainbow!
Tuesday we drove through Wyoming. We fell in love with the prairies!
We could see some snowy peaks as we drove close to the Colorado boarder.
Just before we got to Utah, we stopped at Fort Bridger. We were really ready to get out and stretch our legs for a while and the weather and fort grounds were beautiful!!!
Andrew found more weapons.
And so did Freddy.
And he found a deer carcass. More boy stuff, yuck!
This was the only wagon that didn't say Do Not Climb On.
The real Wild West
We hustled on to Utah to make it in time for Kim Bytheway's brother Christian's wedding reception. It was fun to surprise them!
Andrew, Sara, Natalie, Tim and Freddy
Tim caught the garter!
I love love love this girl!
John was fun as usual with the kids. He even sang some opera to them.
John, Andrew, Tim and Sara as we were cleaning up after the reception.
Sara and Ashley
Tim loves the babies! He had to borrow one of the Loveridge grandbabies.
Too much cuteness!!!!
