Last Sunday evening, we went to the Mounteer's home to watch Brandon open his mission call. He's going to the Chesapeake Virginia mission, Spanish speaking and will report to the Mexico City MTC July 3rd. We are so excited for him!!!
Bishop Anderson was out of town so he watched from KenaDee's phone. Here he is congratulating Brandon.
There was a good crowd there to support him.
Jen Tanner, Brandon and Tommy Lindquist
For family night on Monday we watched Thor Ragnarok. It was so cute to see all the kids lined up snuggling during the movie. I had to turn on the lights and take a picture. They stayed super focused on the movie. It's pretty funny.
Tuesday morning, I took Freddy out of school early and we went and got his driver's license!! He did a great job on the driving test. He is thrilled!!!
Freddy the unicorn helped me with a little grocery shopping after the driving test.
Wednesday evening was the Legacy musical showcase. Jessi's daughter, Heidi, performed with the junior high choir and Daniel with the musical theater class.
The choir did a great job. Heidi is right in the middle of this pic.
Daniel pretty much done the show for the musical theater portion. He gives his heart and soul to the performance. I was so proud of him!
He is such a ham!
Here is a video of his solo on the opening number. https://youtu.be/S_s2z9xLgJM
Thursday, I went to the salon and Sara did my nails in preparation for the wedding. They turned out so pretty!
Thursday evening we all helped Freddy with a big banner for him to ask Sarah Magill to prom. His idea was super cute!
It said, " It'd be im-pasta-bowl to go to prom without you!" Then he made her a spaghetti dinner and decorated her backyard, then waited for her to get home from work to surprise her. He had the song Bella Notte (from Lady and the Tramp) playing in the background. It was awesome and she was so happy! She said yes.
More snuggles and cuteness. I can't get enough of this. They grow up too fast!!
Never too big to sit in Daddy's lap. Awww...
Saturday we had Leigh's bridal shower at our house. It was lovely. The bride's maids did a beautiful job decorating and the food was delicious.
Laney and I made the cupcakes, carrot, white, and red velvet. She was a great helper in all my preparations.
It was fun to watch Leah open all of her gifts and to play the games that were all about Leigh and Josh. I even learned some things about them.
Grammy, Nan, Laney, Dandi, Melissa Jordan and Wendy.
Steph, Sara, Makenzie and KenaDee
Steph, Leigh and her mom, Malie Sasaki
It was great to have Dandi drive up from Tucson. I hadn't seen her since Christmas break.
After the shower fun!
During the shower, Tori had a party to celebrate her eighth birthday. Jessi did a great job decorating and making it an awesome party.
Look at all these fun people!!
Daniel spent the morning at the Larson's during the shower. Afterward, they came to our house and watched Into the Woods. The Larson boys hadn't seen it before.
Coby, Rett, Brock, Daniel and Laney on the floor
Susanna and Gwen on the sofa
That night Sam threw a bachelor's party for Josh with the brothers and a couple of friends. They went to Nick's Diner for dinner and had gyros and burgers.
Mikael, Freddy, Andrew, Josh, Daniel, Sam and Shane
Then back home to play games until the wee hours of the morning!
The wedding is in 5 more days!!!
