So in honor of eternal marriage, this post is almost an eternity long. There is so much wonderfulness to include!

I caught Josh just out of the shower a little after 6 am. Had to get a wedding day selfie. Neither of us were very awake yet.
Josh and Richard had to be to the temple earlier than the rest of us. I took this just before they left. It was sprinkling a little, but such a beautiful morning! Look at these handsome fellas!!!
We brought Timmy with us so we could still share the day with the whole family even though he is across the world in Korea. I'm so glad we did this. It made for a lot of fun pictures, but the best part was just seeing his face pop up all over throughout the day. We had 4 different heads cut out.

We heard, on our way there, that Leigh had forgotten the marriage license at her house, so they hurried to have someone bring it. It's a good thing they have the bride and groom arrive early so they can make sure everything is in order.
When we arrived, the kids all got to hang out in the lobby or outside. Only adult, endowed members of our church can attend the actual ceremony, the sealing for time and all eternity. When I walked in, I was immediately surrounded by my family and dearest friends. It was beautiful. Richard and I as well as Leigh's parents, Malie and Randy Sasaki, were escorted into the sealing room. These are photos released by the church when the temple was just finished being built of the room they were sealed in.
The mirrors on the wall are set across from each other so that you can see on for eternity in them. A little glimpse of their future together. It was so sweet to be there with so many of our loved ones.
They were sealed by President Tom Jones, who is an old friend of the Alger family. He knew Josh's great grandparents, Afton and Ellen Alger, and all of the rest of the the Keith and Maxine Alger family. He was Richard's stake president when he left on his mission to Adelaide Australia and also when Richard and I were newly weds. And President and Sister Farley were there to help run everything. President Farley was also one of our stake presidents in our early marriage. That made it extra special.
Josh and Leigh were so beautiful and beaming as they walked into the room. Pres. Jones had such lovely things to share before they were sealed. Then as they knelt at the altar, holding hands across from each other, Leigh was teary and Josh looked at her with such adoring love. It was so precious. They were sealed together for time and all eternity. It was so sweet as they kissed across the altar and then were introduced to us as Brother and Sister Alger.
After the ceremony, Josh gave me a big hug and said, "Mom, I'm a big boy now." It was so cute and so Josh. They are going to have so much fun together. They are both silly and so full of love and light. I can't believe that he is married!
We went outside and waited for them to come out. The kids were all dying to see them.
It was cute to see all the little cousins playing together on the temple grounds.

This was in the car on the way to the luncheon. They were so tired and hungry.
The luncheon was wonderful. I did a lot of cooking, but my Mom was the rockstar of this part of the day. I was so swamped with costumes that I asked for her to be the boss of this event. I told her I would to the work if she would just tell me what to do. My brain power was gone after the play. She not only told me what to do, but did so so much of the work herself. I cannot thank her enough.
We had creamy potato sausage, cheddar broccoli and mexican chicken soups along with rolls, veggies and caesar salad. For dessert we had a whipped berry fluff and brownies. Everyone said how Tim would have loved all the soups. It's his favorite, any kind of soup.

Josh's mission president and his wife, Jon and Alexis Schmitt, came from across town for the sealing and luncheon. We love them!

It was so wonderful to enjoy the lunch with everyone instead of stressing about it. We had these lovely ladies running the luncheon for us. What wonderful friends I have! They were wonderful! Sister Schmitt also helped with the prep work when she arrived. They had to kick her out of the kitchen to enjoy the lunch.

We spent the afternoon relaxing with Gavin's, Dandi's and Ben's families (minus Bubba, who had to go back to work after the sealing). It was tons of fun. We sang lots of show tunes, played the piano and talked and talked while the kids played and ran around.
The reception was AMAZING!!!!!!!! Leigh's family sure knows how to throw a party. It was beautifully decorated and the food was delicious!!! We started with a reception line, the parents and the bride and groom. Then we had dinner, followed by entertainment by the bride and groom and some family members, Josh and Leigh cutting the cake, and then lots and lots of dancing!
When I took this picture, they didn't have all the food out yet. There was also, pulled pork (they buried a pig and cooked it Hawaiian style), teriyaki chicken, rice, chop suey noodles, and sliced golden yams. It was all so yummy!

Sam, Sara, Freddy, Andrew, Laney and Leigh's brother, Micah decorated the car. They did a good job!
Time to take it all down. It's crazy how it takes all day to decorate, but the take down is over in a couple of hours.
Three of the balloons escaped during clean up. The boys had fun getting them down.
It was a wonderful day and an incredible party! The newly weds spent the weekend on the east side of town. They sent me a couple of pics at Pokitrition, eating their sushi burritos. They are SOO happy to be sealed together for eternity, and to be able to go home together at the end of everyday. Such sweethearts!
