Easter 2014

Easter is such a wonderful time of year.  I am always grateful for opportunities to realign my life with the Savior and Easter is a great time to refocus.  My life is full and happy because of the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  I am grateful for a loving Father in Heaven, who created a plan to bring happiness and eternal families to all who believe and follow His son.  I love this video that goes right along with all that I feel.

The Easter Bunny brought lots of fruit this year, pineapples and tons of strawberries, a couple of games and a little bit of jelly beans and chocolate.

This made me happy.  The idea of so much sugar makes me feel sick!

We didn't have anyone handy to take a picture of our whole family together, but we got plenty of pictures.

Proms 2014

Sam went to three different proms this year. The first one was an adult Mormon Prom, in a different part of town, since he and his date, Sarah, were both 18!

The second one was his high school prom.  He and his best buds Victor and Lorenzo all wore matching vests and tuxes with ties that matched their dates. 

Sam's date was going to join them later after she got off work at 8 pm, but then her boss changed his mind and wouldn't let her off until 11pm, so even though she had her dress and shoes ready to go dancing, she never got to go.  It was such a bummer!  Sam went stag, but was surrounded by lots of friends and fun.

The third one for Sam was Mormon Prom on our side of town.  Josh went also.  The great thing about Mormon Prom is that the kids all dress modestly and are there to have good clean fun and dancing.

They are just friends,  but we had fun taking silly pictures.

Sam and Nicole went with a big group of their friends.

They have been great friends through high school.  You can tell how much fun they have together.

It is always fun to see my boys dressed up for prom.  And they are such gentleman.  

Next year Tim can go!

More Prom Fun

I forgot to post this with the prom pics. Josh and his date went out earlier in the day before the dance for a scavenger hunt downtown using the light rail to get around. Each couple was to come with matching t-shirts. They made theirs using freezer paper stencils. They came out super cute!
