School Performances and a Patriarchal Blessing

The sixth grade did research on important Americans in history.  For extra credit they could present a short monolog as that person in the Sixth Grade Wax Museum.  Nate was Thomas Edison.  Drew did his research on Albert Einstein, but opted not to present.  I was extremely proud of Nate, he absolutely does not like to speak in front of people, but he did a great job!

Daniel was one of the MC's for the performances that night.  He also did a great job.

He remembered to stop and pose for a picture before leaving the stage too.  Cutie Boy!

Laney's dance club performed ballet to A Spoonful of Sugar.  They were darling.

Then Laney's class sang some songs they have learned this year to help them remember things they have learned in Math and Social Studies.

Gram came to see all the fun.

Then the next week Laney performed again for the Dysart High School Dance Recital.  Richard, Sam and I got to see her perform A Spoonful of Sugar again and also Rock-a-Hula, her tap number with some of the advanced high school dancers.

I love to see Sammy with the little ones.  He is such a tenderhearted and supportive brother.

Sam also got his Patriarchal Blessing earlier that night.  It was a wonderful blessing.  He invited his Grandpa Alger and Papa and Gram Ely to be there with us.  He read it later with Grandma Alger who was not able to come that night.  I am so sad that I forgot to take pictures with them afterward.

Easter Evening at the Elys

There is nothing like cousins to make a day wonderful!  I was always so jealous of my friends who had cousins near by to play with.  I love that my kids have tons of cousins in town on both sides of the family.  Here are lots of cuties and a few interesting faces.

Ben and Sam love to wrestle.  It is good for Sam to have someone around who can pin him.
Gram doesn't like it, but I think it is awesome!

The ride home everyone passed out very quickly.  They were exhausted!
