Josh's Promposal

Josh asked Michaela to prom with a big awesome Harry Potter themed sign that he created himself and flowers from our yard. They are so cute together!

The Mirror of Erised is a mirror that shows the user his or her heart's deepest desire.  So, Josh drew himself looking into the mirror and saw himself at prom with Michaela.  Awwww... so sweet!

Tim's Geekin' Out Party

Tim decided to have a Geekin' Out party for his 16th birthday. It was a blast! He had his friends dress in their super hero/ Harry Potter/ geeky clothes.  We had geeky decorations, food and games to go with it.

Thanks to my sister Jessi and Pinterest we created these fun treats.  Bunny Peeps with their ears dipped in chocolate and food coloring rosey cheeks, now Pikachu, from Pokemon.

Super hot Takis

Tim had saved a bunch of trimmings to burn for the party.  Lemongrass, and basil along with tree limbs. It smelled interestingly.

The fat lady from Harry Potter on the front door.

Even Darth Vader turned geek.

We borrowed Jessi's photo wall and made fun cutouts.

I found it interesting that the veggie tray was the first thing to go. I had even refilled it.  I guess geeks like healthy food.  However, almost everything else disappeared very quickly after the veggies were gone.

What a joy it is to have my house filled with such wonderful kids!

Spring Flowers

Tim and I have worked hard to have lots of flowers this spring.  He is so much fun to work with in the garden and yard.  The fruits of our labors have been getting better each year we are in this new house.  Some day we will feel like we are in the Garden of Eden. I feel it a little already!

We have gotten to be friends with Howard and Shari Lyon over the last few years.  They are a wonderful couple with great kids.  Howard happens to be an incredible artist.  He asked Sara to model for him.  He did a photo shoot with her and said he was excited to paint her.

This is part of the unfinished painting that included Sara.  It is of children around the world.

He sent me this message about it:
I didn't take pictures of her for this particular painting actually, but the lighting and everything matched so well, I added her in. She added some elegance and color that I needed. I think she will represent England. I have other paintings of her planned. She is really wonderful to paint. Such great features.

Josh's Mission Papers Profile Picture

Josh is almost done with his mission papers.  He just needs his interview with the stake president and then they are off to Salt Lake City.  He is eager to find out where he will be serving and excited to move on to this next big adventure in his life.  

He needed a picture to send with his papers and this one was the winner.  

He will be a great missionary, where ever he ends up serving.
