A Spirited Week

Sara has gotten to be friends with the sister missionaries in the Surprise YSA branch.
They are so cute!

Daniel had spirit week at school. He and  his friends had a blast dressing for the different themes.

I had to take this one. Freddy was looking right at me while he was sleeping. It was pretty creepy!

We love Lauryn!

Spaghetti and meatballs! Yum!

Gwen came over on her birthday and had dinner with us and then played Settlers of Catan. She is such a great girl. I can't believe she is 12 now!

As I have been driving to school this week, every morning when the windshield fogs up a bit, I see this smiley face. Josh Jensen put it there. It's kind of like he is wishing us to have a great day!

The smiley face is on our windshield not the car in front of us. I could only get it to show up in a picture with the dark window behind it.

Friday, Sara and I went to the Gilbert Temple and did initiatories. Then we had dinner at In N Out with Josh Jensen. We had a great time as always.

After that we went to Sam and Vivi's  to return some wedding things. We stayed and visited for a while. They are adorable, of course. I love them both so much!

Sara has been trying to make new friends and go out  on more dates with different people. Last night she went out with Trevor. He was a nice guy, but not her type.

Josh posted this awesome picture of Sara yesterday.  It's titled: Flying or Falling... I don't know.

Vivi likes to post pictures of her cute hubby. I love it!

They are so cute together!

Saturday, Daniel did a city service project with his friends. They are such a great group of kids!

Adorable Newly Weds

Josh and Leigh had to say goodbye after 2 wonderful weeks here in Surprise, AZ. We loved every minute with them. It was hard to let them go. I already miss their laughs and smiling faces tremendously. They drove all day Sunday and stayed the night in Utah. They drove the final four hours Monday morning  arriving in time to start school. They are adorable!

Sam and Vivi went to Sedona for their honeymoon. They kept us updated with pictures. They had a wonderful time. They are SO happy!!!

Buddy-ups, pull-ups with a buddy. Freddy and Noah being efficient with their work out time. ha ha

Monday for Family Home Evening, we had a few families over for a dance night. We had the Youngs, the Larsons, the Bakers, the Jordans and the Summers join us. We pumped up the music and the dancing and visiting commenced. It was a ton of fun!

There aren't many things that make me as happy as having my home and yard full of amazing kids!

There were some intense foosball games and adorable little ones playing with the trains and giggling.

We are blessed to have a neighborhood full of such wonderful friends.

Tuesday morning Sara and I went to an 8:30 session. It was our first of the new year and we loved it. We love serving in the temple. After that we met Papa and Sebastian in the baptistry. It was Sebastian's first time in the temple. He had the biggest smile on his face the whole time we were there. Papa baptized him and then he baptized Sara. He was thrilled to finally get to enter the temple.

That evening, Sara and Josh Jensen went swing dancing at The Duce. Sara has been wanting to go for a long time. She loves partner dancing and Josh is great at it. They had a ton of fun. He flipped her, dipped her and twirled her. Then he took her to Taco Bell, because she had never been there before. He ordered his favorite foods for her to try. They took their food and ate it while sitting across a field from the Gilbert Temple. They talked for a couple of hours and took some crazy pictures because they knew that I would love it. I do, every silly picture.

Wednesday, Grammy stopped by in after a morning doctor's appointment. She stayed for a few hours and Sara gave her a haircut.

Thursday, my darling friends, Nelly Jensen and Ammanda Pottle came over to visit. I am sad that I didn't get a picture of us. We seldom have the chance to talk with our busy lives, so I love every minute we get together. It's never enough.

Friday, Richard and I got to go to the temple together. It was a sweet and wonderful experience. There is nothing like sitting in the Celestial room, talking with your sweetheart, as he has his arm around you. We saw a bunch of old friends from when we lived in Peoria. It was great to visit with them a while. Then we went to my parent's house and visited with them for a bit. It was a great date night!

When we got home, Daniel and Sara were having a ball on the piano. They had spent the evening together dancing, singing and playing the piano. I love to see them building such great memories together.

They got up early Saturday morning and heart attacked Isabelle Hunsaker's house for her birthday. Daniel and Sara have gotten to be such great friends.

Elder Packard is having some health issues and will be going home this week. We were heartbroken with the news. We love him so much!!!

One goodbye was not enough so he and Elder Hirschi came over again on Sunday to say goodbye again. Laney took these awesome pictures to document the occasion. Hahahaha

We sure love our missionaries! We have had the very best in our ward. I am sure we will be friends with these guys for the years to come.

We took one with Elder Hirschi too. I had a feeling that he was going to be transferred to a new area and I wanted to make sure we had one with him. It was a good thing, because, sadly, he did get transferred.

Laney taking a break from her science fair project.

Celestial badminton! The girls love playing with Noah. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Andrew was outside too, listening to his book.
