Sam worked hard for his Eagle and waited a long time to receive his award. In trying to plan for his Eagle Court of Honor, Sam finally said, "Mom, I really don't want one. Let's just do it as a family." It was easier for me and he assured me that it was really what he wanted. So while we had everyone together for Laney's baptism, we gave Sam his Eagle award and a Missionary Journal.
