Daniel turned 6!

I can't believe this sweet boy is so old. He is such a lover. He loves to snuggle and give hugs and kisses. He is a great brother to his little sisters and loves to get Zanna out of her crib in the morning. He loves to draw and color and is really into writing stories and captions for his pictures. It is crazy that he is old enough to read and write some. He is daring and smart, but sometimes more daring than smart as evidenced by his jumping off the porch roof and breaking his leg last fall. He loves his older brothers and sister and loves to be a part of all their activities and craziness. I love this boy oodles and oodles!

Happy Birthday Daniel!

Spring is in the air

Hail . . . Really?

Of course the day after we plant our garden it hails! Richard and I had to leave for a fireside just as the hail finished. When we came home we found three cameras full of documentation that it, in fact, really did hail. The kids were flipping out with excitement. I had to remind them that even though this RARELY happens it was still Sunday and they needed to tone down the screaming to loud giggles.

Not great shots but the only ones they took of our baby tomato plants
ripped to shreds by the storm.

Crazy weather!

A Flash of February

I missed a lot in February so here are a bunch of glimpses into all the excitement of the month.

Zanna and her crush, Gavin
I guess, based on the time stamp, this one was actually January, oops!

I guess I didn't get a birthday picture of myself, but here are the flowers my visiting teachers brought me. And oh, did they smell divine!

Sam's best bud Sean came to visit from New Mexico. We love that boy.

My adorable baby brother, Gavin.

Ring-around-the-rosy, cousin style

Wow-wow... Jonah, the birthday boy
I promise he isn't a demon child, I just didn't feel like editing photos today.

Uncle Eric, the birthday boy

Tim, the birthday boy

Bumper Pool Fun!

The BIG boys

Daniel and Madi

Worn out from all the partying. So cute!

Valentines Day

A typical Sunday afternoon. Sam always has the hot sauce.

Tim in the tree tops, one of his favorite places.

Daniel and the Cashier

Daniel, Sam and I went to Target this afternoon for them to spend some of their hard earned money. Daniel got some Playmobile knights and insisted on buying a $10 Littlest Pet Shop set for Sara, just because he knew she would love it.

He paid for his items with a twenty and two ones. The cashier took the money and then held out the twenty for Daniel to see and asked him if he knew who the man on the front was. Daniel thought hard and then turned to the man and said, "Joseph Smith?" The fellow, clearly not a member of our church, was surprised and confused with his answer at first. Then he turned to Daniel and said, "Well, I guess they were around the same time period." Then he held out the one and asked Daniel who that was. Daniel proudly said, "George Washington."

I love five year olds! They are hilarious and so darn sweet!

Birthday #34

SO . . . 34 . . . I told Rich that 34 was his last good year before he was an old man. He is now 37 and I guess I am beginning my last good year. Actually, it is so not a big deal. It is strange how you can feel 20ish for so many years. I don't plan to ever feel old.

My sweetheart has taken today and tomorrow off for my birthday. There is never anything I love more than spending time with him. While today has not been the most romantic or perfect day out together (Susanna is sick and really whiny and super clingy) we have had a fun day driving around town, having lunch at Babbo's and visiting Shane Co. to have my wedding ring cleaned and inspected. I LOVE going there and looking at all the sparkles! Richard loves how giddy and lovey I get around diamonds. We don't buy, just look, but something about trying on such pretty things makes me feel all sparkly inside.

Thank you Sweetie for such a great day! I look forward to tomorrow with you too.

Winter Storm Warning

Consider yourself warned...
Last one in their swimming suit and on the trampoline is a rotten egg.

My kids, and I, have been loving the rain! What is better than puddles and jumping on the tramp in the rain? 59 degrees is a little cold for me to get in a swimming suit though. I guess I am getting old!
