The big day! Sammy's baby blessing! He's such a delightful little guy. He definitely has all of our hearts. It was a lovely service. His daddy, Josh, gave him a sweet blessing.
We almost have everyone in this picture, just missing Sam and Sara. This will be a challenge for the rest of our lives, as our family grows and grows!
Sophie Comeau joined us for the blessing and pictures.
Laney and Susanna adore Sophie!
Then it was lunch at Porter Park with the Sasaki gang.
I seriously can not get enough of this little guy!
Papa and Sammy... SO CUTE!
Tag on the playset is a must!
The flowers were beautiful!
Josh really is blessed, as are we, to have such wonderful in-laws. The Sasakis are the best of the best!
Look at that little grin!
Rich needed his nap time too.
That evening it was Dungeons and Dragons at the Comeau's.
Leigh came by with Sammy, so we could all say goodbye before leaving in the morning.
As week packed up the next morning, Freddy tried on some of Laney's old jeans. She had just found some replacement jeans, and Freddy wanted to see if he could burst the old ones a part, like the Hulk.
Jeans are pretty stretchy nowadays, so it was a challenge!
After trying for a while, he finally succeeded!
The kids had a lot of fun playing the Canadian game Crokinole.
Sophie is a master!
Their cats were also a favorite part of staying with the Comeaus.
Goodbyes are always hard.
Luc, Ruth, Steph and Rich
We headed south toward home after a long and wonderful vacation!!!
We stopped at the St. George temple to do some baptisms. The kids hadn't been in there before. It is beautiful, and will be closed for renovations and restoration for the next couple of years, so we were glad we could squeeze in a visit.
As our last stop, we stayed at Ken and Karman's again and watched Tron. We adore them and are grateful for their hospitality!
