We then took off for Rexburg! This whole trip we have been listening to The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flammel series, the boys in their car and the girls in ours. Some of the time, Susanna rode in the boys car and Andrew rode in the girls car. It's been a lot of fun having two Priuses on this trip.
We arrived in Rexburg and went to the Comeau's home first to get settled. The are so generous and hospitable. Ruth gave the kids a tour of the yard, garden, and chickens and ducks.
Then we headed over to see Josh, Leigh and baby Sammy! This of course was the highlight of the trip! He is so darling!
We all squeezed into their little apartment to visit.
There were a lot of sweet and tender moments!
I drove to Idaho Falls and picked up Dad at the airport. We were so happy that he could join us for the rest of our vacation.
We slept well at the Comeaus and woke up with smiles!
Park time!
The weather was perfect and Sammy so yummy!!!
Leigh and Sammy went back to the apartment for nap time, so we had some adventures wondering around in Rexburg. First stop was Deseret Book.
Then we found a little art gallery! They had some beautiful art!
For an early, we went to Big Judd's. I was impressed with how fast and how much the kids ate.
Those burgers were huge!
After dinner, we wondered around the BYUI campus. The gardens there are lovely and it was good to walk off our dinners a bit.
Sammy's smiles stole the show!
It's a lot of fun to watch Josh be a daddy. He is so tender and loving, and occasionally scares Leigh while playing around with Sammy. hahaha
That face!
Everyone had fun running around, hiding, and posing for pictures.
MY HEART!!!
This alcove had amazing echos and reverb. It was fun to sing in!
Zanna and Freddy were great buddies as we explored. I love to watch them as they love each other!
Andrew is so taken with Sammy! He holds him every chance he gets.
Josh took a gardening class for summer semester. He has loved it! It was great to get to see his hard work coming to fruition! He had a pretty big plot to care for and plant.
More cute bonding moments!
Back at the apartment, Dad was wiped out and took a nap under the table.
The kids played video games with Josh while he slept.
The next morning, we went to the temple with Josh and Leigh. The Rexburg Temple is beautiful!
After the temple, we all went to the food court at BYUI for lunch.
Oh my goodness! I love this little guy!!!
That evening, we met up with the Sasakis at the lake near Rigby. The kids loved getting wet and playing in the sand. The Sasakis are great!
