First Week of Summer!!!

Lots of Sunday evenings, Papa gets antsy and so he and Grammy go for a drive and end up at our house. WE LOVE IT!!! We are so spoiled to have them close by and be able to have so many little moments together.

In time out for being too much fun!
(not really, they are just goofy)

Then Sara wanted in on it.

And Grammy

Monday was Memorial Day. We watched The Price of Freedom on Youtube to start the day out with proper respect and remembrance of those who have given so much for our freedoms. We all cried, but loved it as much as ever. Then we spent the day playing games and cleaning, getting things in order for summer!

Wednesday, Sara and I went to Glendale Community College to get registered for fall classes. We are both going to attend. She is going to study art and I am going to study music! It's been 23 years since I attended college, other than a photography class and a clothing construction class. I am excited to get back to getting a degree. I'm a little nervous, but mostly ready to get started and soak it all in!

Wednesday evening, Sara had her West-MEC recognition night for Cosmetology. She is almost done, only one more week of classes and then her state board test!

Brandon Mounteer was there also getting his recognition for the Avionics program.

We are so proud of Sara and all her hard work. She has had to give up a lot of activities to finish this program. It has been hard to miss out at times, especially not being in MCO this last year, but she has hung in there and she is fabulous at everything in cosmetology. She is going to do amazing things!

Grammy was able to join us for the ceremony.

Such cute girls!

We took our princess out to dinner at Top Shelf afterwards. She was hilarious!

I kept trying to get a nice picture of her, but everytime she did something silly. In this one she has a mouth full of food. Still beautiful!

Loving her Daddy

Thursday afternoon, Sara drove the boys out to Ethan's house to hang out. They went swimming, played real life fruit ninja with a sword and grapefruit, ate pizza, played Minecraft, sang songs, played the guitar and piano and on and on...  Miles was sick and couldn't come and Josh came, but only for a little while because he had to babysit his siblings.

Sara snuck over to Livvy's house for a couple hours and had fun talking and being silly. They all had a wonderful time and didn't get home until just before midnight.

We have been eating a lot of fried eggplant lately. We are addicted! We just use beaten egg, spices and parmesan cheese to coat it and then fry it in a little olive oil. It is divine!! It's delicious as is or dipped in marinara sauce. YUMMMM!!!

Laney wore a new skirt to church today. It was a gift from Sara's friend, Morgan. She had bought it as a gift for her sister, who didn't want it, so she gave it to Laney because she is classy and appreciates expensive and cute skirts. Morgan is such a sweetie!
