Friday morning, we toured The Cosmere House!!! This is the headquarters of our favorite author, Brandon Sanderson. I became antiquated with his art director last summer and he said he would be happy to give us a tour any time we are in town. My boys especially were thrilled. Andrew has read several of his series multiple times. I think he is on his 4th time through the Mistborn Series.
Isaac is one of the nicest guys and a super talented artist. We loved seeing all the different projects he is working on.
These cases hold a copy of all of his published books. Many are in other languages. There are also several of his awards in these cases. Drew was awestruck!
These are shard blades and swords from his different books. They were allowed to touch, but not pick up. We toured the house and admired all the art work. We also got to meet Brandon Sanderson's wife, sister and sister-in-law. He was taking a nap at his house next door, so we didn't get to meet him.
This is a crocheted koloss from the Mistborn Series. This is in the basement office and shipping area.
This is the storage room. It is HUGE!!! Freddy got to pose with a Koloss sword. It was pretty awesome! And then our wonderful tour guide, Mem, told us we could have any books we wanted from 5 of the shelving units. We were in heaven!
This is inside the Tardis (Dr. Who) elevator!
Mem was an amazing tour guide and so friendly. It was AWESOME!
After our tour, we went to Connor Olvera's house. He was one of our favorite missionaries serving here in Surprise, AZ. The boys had planned this reunion for months before he finished his mission. They were so excited to finally be able to wrestle with him! He got the twins pinned and then Daniel came to the rescue.
He grabbed his leg and rotated it around, saving the twins.
Then the three of them pinned Connor!
They are all such cuties!
Sara and I left the boys with Connor to go to The Creamery, while we went to University Mall to see the art at Frame Works and do some shopping.
We loved these new ones from Yongsung Kim!
We found some cute dresses on sale at H & M, so Sara got 2 and I got 1. Yay!! Then we went to Costco to get salads for lunch and a pizza for the boys. We took it all with us and met them at The Creamery. The boys were excited to tell us about their adventures visiting Connor's sister at her dorm room. They enjoyed hanging out with college girls.
That night we went to the HFAC at BYU to see the twins friends's, Leah and Tessa Livingstone, perform in The Phantom of the Opera. They had been attending the BYU musical theater camp and were able to get us tickets to the show. It was very well done, especially for only 2 weeks of rehearsals. We enjoyed it a lot!

Andrew couldn't resist trying on one of the cloaks.
After the show, we ran to Walmart to get a few things. While we were there we found a dinosaur walking around. Andrew walked up to it and asked if he could hit it in the head. The lady inside nicely said he could. More silliness!
